    Deadly rig!

I am also slightly forced to take some time off on mine. Can’t even afford to buy a fuel level gauge, tach and cheapy stereo deck to finish off my dashboard project or bottle of welding gas to finish off the rock sliders. Can’t wait to get mine out and start playing with the suspension. I am sure I need softer coils for out back.

Glad to hear that you got back in it.
Looks like your passenger is ready to go Play...

Thanks. It was kind of a shame to pretty much let it sit for as long as I did, but my head just wasn't into it at the time. It's good to be back, and nice to finally have a properly running rig.

And yeah, my "passenger" is always ready to go for rides in the Bronco. She act's like she's queen dog when we go on short trips around town with the wind blowing in her fur going down the road. Lol.

Thanks guys. I definately want to get more wheeling in this year for sure. I'm ready to go! The group that I've wheeled with for close to twenty years don't go as much anymore, so I might be keeping an eye on the forum for planned trips, and a chance to meet up with some here to go wheeling with.

I wish I could take all the credit for the entire build, but I can't. The majority of the rig was built in my buddies barn, he designed and did most of the major fab work, with my help on the weekends helping with a lot of grinding, drilling, minor fab work etc.

My vision and goal behind this build was not to have the "ultimate rock crawler" Bronco, but something that would perform well on the trail, but could also be driven on the street if I wanted to.

My major criteria was to keep as it as much "classic" Bronco that I could, for what it was built for. The original frame was used (modified in spots), the tub was not narrowed, and no holes were punched through the bed for suspension. I took things that I had learned from years of wheeling my previous Bronco on the trail, and incorperated them into this one.

The one thing that was a must for me was, when I'm sitting behind the wheel and looking at the dash, I wanted to have it where it felt at least that it could be era correct. I cut a square section of the dash from where the ignition to the old ash tray was and reconfigured it a little, but overall I think it turned out pretty good, and I'm happy with the results.

              • Latest phase included paint. My brother and I are leaning more to staying low profile when cruising around some of the trails around here. We know of a good system that’s been closed off for years by the Government.

Yea, not an EB, but now I have an example of both!
'96 5.8L/auto, 4.56 X Trutrac rear - clutch posi front, Has mid-strokey go faster more better parts under it (Bils, Fox, Camber-Cut, long radius arms, etc.).
