            Nice

Notice quite a few of you from Pirate. (where I came across the link)

Wish I had found it sooner, I already have a vacation planned around the time of the Poker Run. I'd love to meet some of you.

Yeah the last part of that snow run was a little rough for me, there have been some upgrades since then hopefully this winter I won't have as much trouble in the snow

Well, I've been here a while so it's time for an intro...

I have been camping/dirt-biking/wheeling for most of my life. Grew up on dirt bikes locally and in the Sierras (mostly off hwy-4)

Lately we would camp/wheel in a Cherokee with 31's and a limited slip. It did pretty good, but needed the 3.07's changed out to make it driveable. After adding up the cost for this mod, I stopped and reconsidered putting that much money into a vehicle that I would have to smog and had a ton of electronics/computer controlled stuff. Diagnosing an obscure electrical failure on the trail is not my cup of espresso.

So, the search began for a trail truck that was smog exempt, durable, straightforward to work on, and had room for my wife, two kids and camping gear. The ability to run moderate/difficult trails would be a plus.

The Early Bronco was the answer!

All the above criteria were met (a little thin on storage compared to the cherokee) and it has decent tire clearence.

So I found a seemingly decent 1970 with a 435 at a fair price. This is my entry into the Bronco realm.

I have already met some great people here (FFMDX, FamilyMan, & FordCore), and look forward to meeting more.

                          Thanks for starting/running this site.

Welcome to the site. Great choice of Rigs too. However, a requirement of joining this site is you must post some pictures of your Bronco. Seriously though, welcome!
